Jonathan Wolfcale Myers

The funeral of Jonathan Wolfcale Myers was largely attended. Rev's Hays and Young preached the discourse. The remains were interred in the Fostoria Cemetery. Among those from a distance were Peter Richards of Bowling Green, Jerry Nestlerode and wife of Fostoria, Benton Myers of Chicago and many others.

Mr Myers had been a resident of this place (Bloomdale) for 50 years. He raised a family of six children, all living. He was married twice, his first wife was Charlotte Hull, a distant relative of Gen. Hull. They had 4 children: Henry B. of St Louis, Mary Ann the wife of G.M. Barnd. Caroline, the wife of Benson Clayton of Van Buren, and John A of Hancock Co. Mr Myers second wife was Elmira Robbins whose father was one of the first settlers of Bloom Township. They had 3 children: Rachel L, Ella E the wife of LD Hatfield, and a son Jonathan Edwin Myers.
