Hala Rymer(1) wrote in her memoirs of William Reimers/Rymer:
a very devout Weslyan Methodist who visited Methodist Churches for miles around. Since he went from church to church he would stay overnight with one of the pastors and this meant he was away much of the time. I can't recall what his position was called, but when I began to teach I would meet people who asked if I were related to William Rymer and then proceed to tell me what an important person he was and of their great respect for him. Augustus seems to be our great-grandfather although the 38 years of difference in age leaves little room for two generations, for Grandfather was born in 1793 and grandma in 1798. Grandmother's mother's maiden name was McGregor(2). In that way we know our Pennsylvania Dutch blood was mixed with Scotch from her and English from Grandfather Richardson. There were 13 children, 7 girls and 6 boys. Four were doctors. There was a female married to a Witt, Lavina married Hoy and Hannah married Admonson. Am not sure of this spelling - Admonson. One male died early in life. Lavina Hoy lived Westmoreland County, PA.

notes (dkt):
(1) Mahala Augusta ("Hala") Rymer (1879-1981) is a daughter of Hosea McCall Rymer, a farmer in Columbiana Co. Ohio, and his wife Mary Elizabeth Richardson, and a granddaughter of William Rymer.
(2) should be "Grandfather's mother's maiden name," I believe.

Hala Rymer wrote of her grandmother Elizabeth Naley, the wife of William Rymer:
Elizabeth was bedridden with rheumatoid arthritis. Though mamma was much too loyal to say it, I felt she would have been willing for grandpa to exchange some of his religious fervor and dedication to the church for more time spent with his crippled wife.
